Richard A. Krathen, MD, FAAD, FACMS, attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and received his medical degree in 2002. In addition to graduating in the top ten of his class and with honors in basic sciences, he was granted the Alpha Omega Alpha Award. Dr. Krathen stayed at Baylor College of medicine for his dermatology residency (2003-2006), which he completed at the prestigious Texas Medical Center/ Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas. Furthermore, he conducted his fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology (reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetics) at the Dayton Skin Surgery Center/ Miami Valley Hospital in Kettering, Ohio (2006-2007). In addition, Dr. Krathen received board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology. She remains in good standing with the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and fellowship of the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS). Dr. Krathen dedicates his spare time to being with his wife and three daughters.
